Based in Edmonton AB, we are a small composition collective made up of three musicians who each bring a unique edge to film scoring. We started CHR Music because we continually noticed a gap in film scoring: most stock music libraries feel lifeless and separate from the picture, and big-budget composers are too booked up to really live inside your project. We wanted to build something different, a small team dedicated to professionalism and personalization in every project we work on.

Three musicians, one studio.
Stephen Cameron
Stephen Cameron is a Filipino Canadian musician and composer based in Edmonton, Alberta. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Music from MacEwan University where he explored composition, songwriting, and recording while completing his degree with a minor in Education.
An experienced songwriter, Cameron has performed his original material across Canada in his bands Misfortune Tellers and Gratuitous and most recently his work can be heard on the AMI docuseries Crip Trip alongside the works of John McMillan and Zach Hassan.
Zach Hassan
Zach Hassan is a musician and composer from Edmonton, Alberta. His work reflects his Egyptian-Canadian heritage, blending elements of Arabic Music with contemporary jazz and classical traditions. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition from MacEwan University, and is currently completing his Masters in Composition at the University of Leeds. His recent focus has been on producing works for augmented guitar, including fretless electric guitar and prepared guitar. Zach’s music can be heard on the Canadian documentary TV series Crip Trip, alongside fellow Canadian composers John McMillan and Stephen Cameron.
Tanner Reid
Northern-Albertan composer, producer, and audio engineer Tanner Reid spent his youth playing a wide variety of musical instruments before pursuing formal training at MacEwan University, graduating in 2024 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Recording and Production. He went on to complete a Master of Music in Sound Recording at McGill University in 2026, where he received the John R.E. Bradley Award in both years of attendance and the Eleanor Stubley Recording Prize. Tanner has trained under and worked alongside industry professionals including multi-Grammy winner Richard King, Stephen Epstein, Martha de Francisco, and John McMillan. He is driven by a passion for music and a commitment to helping artists and clients realize their creative vision through tasteful, considered work.
